Established as a distinguished international academic platform, ICMRE has been bringing together researchers, engineers, academicians, and industry professionals since its inauguration in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2015. Following events were hosted in Nice, France (2016), Paris, France (2017 and 2018), and the University of Valenciennes, France. More recently, the conference took place in Rome, Italy (2019), and Barcelona, Spain (2020), ICMRE shifted to an online format, in collaboration with the Southern University of Science and Technology, China from 2021 to 2023, and in Milan, Italy(2024), Lille, France(2025) .ICMRE 2026 will be sponsored by University of Oldenburg, Germany and hosted by University of Lille, France.
