<b>Studies: 24th Swiss Climate Summer School 2026 - Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research (OCCR)</b><br/><br/><br/>30 August – 4 September 2026, Grindelwald, Switzerland<br/>The 24thSwiss Climate Summer School is focusing on the theme “Climate Variability across Space and Time”. This theme has been chosen due to its paramount importance in terms of both scientific challenges and pressing societal concerns. Always with a focus on understanding system processes from observational and model perspectives, understanding sources of uncertainty, and implications for predictability and predictions, the specific topics include:<br/>This summer school addresses Early Career Researchers with a background in climate, engineering, environmental, economic, social and geosciences, among others. In addition to keynote lectures from internationally renowned experts and extensive time for discussions and poster sessions, two half days will be spent with workshops in smaller groups and hands-on practical work. An excursion will lead us to a scenic place with glaciers in the mountains. Participation is highly competitive and will be limited to a maximum of 70. The registration fee (1350 CHF) includes half board accommodation, excursion, and teaching material.
