Choosing where to present
Where a conference is held matters more than it should. Visa processing times, the cost of getting there, and whether your institution will fund the trip often decide which call for papers you actually answer. Each country page lists upcoming events with their submission deadlines, host city, and the publisher or index the proceedings are headed for, so you can rule places in or out quickly.
A few practical notes. Conferences in the Gulf, Malaysia and Thailand tend to have shorter visa lead times for researchers from South and Southeast Asia, which is part of why those destinations carry such high listing volumes. European and North American events usually need three to four months of planning for visa appointments alone, so watch the deadline rather than the event date. And a high listing count is not a quality signal in itself: popular destinations attract legitimate societies and predatory operators in roughly equal measure, which is why every listing here carries an indexing status you can check against the organiser's own site.
If you would rather search by discipline than by geography, use the subject index. For the deadline picture across all countries at once, the open deadlines page sorts everything by how long you have left.
