About this Scholarship

Applications are now open for the Italian Government Scholarships for International Students. The  scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). The program aims to promote international cooperation in education, science, and culture. Through this initiative, the government funds international students to study in Italian higher education institutions. The international scholarships are offered in master’s, PhD programs, research programs, and Italian language and culture courses.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be foreign citizens living abroad or Italian citizens living abroad.
  • While applying, applicants must not be residing in Italy.
  • Applicants should apply for courses in Italy only.
  • Applicants must not exceed 28 years of age for Master’s or AFAM programs at the application deadline.
  • Applicants must not exceed 30 years of age for PhD program at the application deadline.
  • Candidates should have the required academic qualification for the program they are applying in.
  • Italian proficiency (usually B2 level) is required for Italian-taught programs. It is not required for English-taught programs.
