About this Scholarship

4 Days, 150+ Nationals, 2,000+ Participants. Yes, I am talking about the One Young World Summit 2026 taking place in Cape Town, South Africa. This is one of the largest Youth Summits in the world. The ICMM Young Leaders Scholarship is in Partnership with One Young World and offers a fully funded scholarship to applicants from around the world. The scholarship covers return airfare, meals, stay, and local transport. The One Young World Summit South Africa will run from 3-6 November 2026. More details are below.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants generally must:

  • Applicants from all countries are encouraged to apply.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Leading inspiring initiatives/projects, or driving meaningful change, through your job or in your life outside of work, with proven impact in at least one of the following areas:
    • Biodiversity conservation
    • Decarbonisation
    • Responsible natural resource production
    • Social performance (community resilience, human rights, etc.)
    • Promoting and communicating action on sustainability
