How Web of Science involvement actually works
Web of Science indexes conference proceedings through the Conference Proceedings Citation Index. Like Scopus, selection happens after publication and is based on the publishing venue rather than the event. References to "ISI indexed" are outdated — ISI became Thomson Reuters and then Clarivate, and the current product name is Web of Science.
What to check before you submit
- Current terminology — "ISI indexed" suggests copied boilerplate
- The proceedings publisher named, since CPCI selects sources
- Evidence that earlier editions appear in Web of Science
- No promise of an impact factor, which applies to journals, not conferences
