What this page is. Listings whose organisers reference ACM in their own materials. ConferenceSked is not affiliated with Association for Computing Machinery, and inclusion here is not confirmation of sponsorship or indexing — check the organiser's site before submitting.

How ACM involvement actually works

ACM distinguishes between sponsored conferences, which a SIG runs directly, and in-cooperation events, which ACM permits to use its name without financial involvement. Both can publish in the ACM Digital Library, but the arrangement is different and the approval is per event. The conference site should say which one applies.

What to check before you submit

  • A named ACM Special Interest Group (SIG) as sponsor or cooperating body
  • Whether the event is ACM-sponsored or in-cooperation — they differ
  • Proceedings destined for the ACM Digital Library
  • An ISBN allocated for the proceedings

Verify against ACM conferences rather than taking a conference website's word for it. Our guide to spotting predatory conferences covers the other warning signs.

Common questions

What is the difference between ACM-sponsored and in-cooperation?
A sponsored conference is run by an ACM SIG, which takes financial responsibility. An in-cooperation event is organised independently with ACM permission to use the name. Both may publish in the Digital Library; only the first is an ACM event.
Will my paper appear in the ACM Digital Library?
Only if the conference has an agreement in place and the proceedings are accepted. Ask the organiser for the ICPS or Digital Library arrangement in writing before paying a registration fee.
